01 — The story

A homecoming
in dust and silence.

When his father uses the family’s resources to settle his elder brother’s debt, Bamidele and his two younger sisters are forced to drop out of school. Teacher Dorcas sees promise in the bright, determined boy and takes him into her home, paying his school fees so he can continue his education. Bamidele goes on to earn a scholarship to secondary school and eventually makes it to university.

Years later, Bamidele meets his future wife after hearing her sing in church. They marry in London, but financial difficulties bring them back to Nigeria. At his wife’s suggestion, they start a business together. Over time, Bamidele becomes a successful entrepreneur and goes on to found Thomas Adewumi University.
